This is my first experience and my initial recorded route. Somehow a ~20 mile round trip has resulted in 96 discrete trips all about 0.3 miles in distance. This makes data mining much harder. Any advice?

I would advise you to check the combine trips less than 3 minutes apart box under options

That sounds like a logical answer. But I do not have that option in my app. I'm running the latest version on Android. The settings I really have are: changing the notification settings and setting up or changing the type of vehicle.

Any advise on where to find the 'options' menu?

That option isn't available for the Automatic Pro (Gold adaptor) and Automatic Lite (Silver adapter). I think it was only available for older Gen 1 and Gen 2 adapters.

What kind of car do you have the adapter plugged into? This was an issue with some hybrid vehicles.

Thank you! One issue might stem from there being multiple "Automatic" apps being available for Android. Hopefully Tech Support can provide some guidance there.
