While this is definitely on the opposite spectrum of what Automatic aims to help with (efficient driving); I think it would be pretty cool if automatic... automatically kept a track of your top 5 or 10 best 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times. Or at least made it possible to see / retrieve this information; if not otherwise made visible in the mobile apps and/or web dashboard.

Later on, it would be cool to compare this data with other anonymous users with the same make/model/trim cars. But just having it available to see at all would be an awesome first step.

There are many devices / apps available that do this already, but most require access to the ODBC port as well; and as you've mentioned, it's not recommended to use a splitter.

Hi sclyde. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you outside of 140 characters, ha! Thanks for this idea, and we agree that users should have access to raw driving data. You may actually be interested in reading this post I made earlier today.

There’s no ETA for when this functionality will be available, but we’ll be sure to keep the community updated with the latest developments. Stay tuned!

HI Sclyde,

As you correctly guessed this won't likely come from our core application. But we are exploring ways to let our hardware speak to the other apps that would give you exactly what you want.
