Ability to edit route

I sometimes have issues with Automatic not connecting at the beginning of my ride. As much as I'd like for it to work flawlessly, I would also like to have the option to edit my route manually. It would be great if automatic could verify the route distance with the logged distance. For example, I have a couple of trips from my home to my local grocery store and back that show as a trip from home to home with a short stop at home (which makes no sense), yet the logged distance is right (about 1 mile). If I can manually set the route and automatic can verify if it. I think this feature can be enabled more easily on the website dashboard

Thanks for the idea, Alx. I’ll pass this feedback along, and in our next meeting with the product team, we’ll discuss it. 

Imprecise routes can occur for a variety of reasons, but it's usually the result of bad and/or a lack of GPS data from your phone (Automatic depends on your phone for its GPS capabilities). Check out this FAQ for more details. Also, despite the inaccurate route, the number of miles driven is obtained directly from your car, and these distances should still be accurate (within 5-10%).

If you're regularly experiencing imprecise routes, be sure to send the date and time of the trip(s) in question to our tech support team at help@automatic.com and they’ll investigate. You can also report these trips using the "Report a problem..." link found on the Settings screen.
