I've been testing it for a while now and I have to say I really love always knowing where my car is. For example, last Monday morning my husband had to take our son to a doctor's appointment while I was taking our daughter to her first day of school. I was worried my husband & son were going to be late for the appointment. But then I received a notification that the car had parked, I checked the map and saw that they'd arrived at the right spot in plenty of time. My mind was put at ease and I didn't even have to bug my husband to ensure they'd made it on time.

Yea I'm pretty interested in that feature as well. My favorite is the crash feature. I work pretty late nights sometimes and it's more comfort to my family if they know that they are alerted if something happens. I just got my automatic pro today and I'm super excited to install it tomorrow!!!

Pluses
I like that it's far more dependable on syncing data when trips end. I spend a lot of time at Scout camps that are not well covered by my cell phone carrier, but so far have not been a problem with the adapters built in 3G service. I no longer have to manipulate my Google Spreadsheet to reorder trips when I go to these camps and all the trips load up when I get back home in the wrong order.

I like the manually logging of the fill ups, although it's duplicating what I was already doing with my google spreadsheet and IFTTT SMS trigger. I find that much more useful than the automatic detection (especially since I can correct the information, which you could never do with the automatic detection) However, the ability of adding a station would be great, I don't know how long it takes to get new stations added to the system, but the place I most often fill up at lately isn't in the system. I have to pick the known station close to it. At least it lets me change the price of the gas, which is alway less than the known station (which is why I use it, instead of the other one).

Was very happy to see that it didn't turn into a subscription based tool. Not sure I would have kept it if it had. I tend to get things for the long term, and almost always a subscription based solution turns out to be more expensive in the long run. Another product similar to this costs $10 a month (requires a two year contract so $240.00), plus $70 initial startup charge, so $310 for 2 years vs $130 for the same two years. After 6 months your saving money. Looks like it provides similar features.

Minuses
Some of the missing features like fuel level, I never used it much. I have a gas gauge on the dashboard, it's a lot easier to see :). OBD Fusion when it's connected gives me a much more precise number (98.8% is the most I've ever managed to get the tank full, the warning light comes at about 11% full, etc). Just wish the connection between the adapter and Fusion was working better (to get it connected, once connected properly it works great). Yes, it's now a manual process, but the data is better and I can see at a glance how much I've spent on gas in the last month. I don't think that was there on the old version (the summing, and the data on gas prices was often wrong as much as gas prices fluctuate).

Lack of Geofencing IFTTT trigger doesn't bother me, found it wasn't all that useful for me on the old adapter, so I didn't use it much and didn't notice it wasn't there until seeing other people complain. Hopefully they will get it back for the people who did like it.

Tagging of trips another feature I didn't use on the old system, I had already implemented a different process using IFTTT which allowed me to have any number of tags, not just business, before they implemented their limited version. While slightly more work (open the spreadsheet on the computer instead of pushing a button on the phone), it was still easier than the old fashion logbook and could be done after the fact in batch mode too. My guess is it will be easier to implement on the dashboard, so your back to an after the fact thing. Since the phone isn't uploading the trip information, and there's no buttons on the device to press, I can see why this was left out initially (just my opinion, no real insight here).
