Although iOS 11.2 Bluetooth connects to the device, the Automatic app never connects to the device.

I have had the same issue and customer support blew me off because 11.2 is a public beta. The only solution was to wipe my phone and download 11.1

Did downgrading even resolve the connectivity issue?

With Apple, downgrading involves restoring your phone from an old backup which would make lose all data from 11.1 to now. So it’s not an option for me.

Totally understood. I guess then we just wait for 11.2 to become public release, and THEN maybe Automatic will issue a fix. I would hope that since they are hardware and software developers that they would have at least some devs working on beta testing.
