App not showing a code

I have an Automatic "Classic".  Setup was fine and it has worked in the past.  I recently moved it to my wife's car to clear a code.  Fine.  I moved not back.  Car threw a code this morning.  App doesn't show it (stuck on week of 21 Nov...it's now June).  Didn't realize I needed to go through setup again, but even then it isn't showing the code and still shows 21 Nov.  I need to know how to fix this now...or I have to wait at the mechanic for the next several hours and fester while I wonder why I spent $100 on this stupid thing :)

Hi Ross, sorry you’re running into issues. I’m not certain if I’m completely following everything you’ve described but I asked Tech Support to take a look at your account so I could get some more information to help figure out what might be going on. They can see that a code was cleared on 6/9/2017 at 10:25:57. Was that the code from your wife’s car?

Then are you saying that you moved the adapter back to your car and that your car now has a Check Engine Light code that you’re not seeing in the app? Tech Support doesn’t see any setup attempts after that code was cleared this morning. As it sounds like you’ve discovered, when you move an adapter back & forth between cars, you need to run through setup again so that the adapter knows which car it’s in. The setup process should be fairly quick, though, since no firmware updates have to happen like they do the first time you set up a new adapter.

Once you go through setup again on your car, the CEL indicator in the app should update if your Check Engine Light is on.

If I’ve misunderstood any part of this, please let me know and provide clarification. Thanks!

My MINI had a code that was not showing up in the app, even after I reran the setup (which took me quite a while to discover that it was needed).  Took 30 minutes of driving before it finally appeared in the app.  Then I was able to reset it.
