Audio Feedback with multiple vehicles...

Each vehicle gets own audio feedback profile. I like audio feedback, buty wife does not. When in my wife's vehicle, my profile can activate audio feedback, which annoys her, forcing me to change my settings. If audio feedback was vehicle specific, I could have settings she prefers for her vehicle (silence) while I receive the feedback when I'm in my own car. Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks for the idea sboydman! As you mentioned, audio alert settings are currently tied to accounts and not vehicles.

Hi sboydman. A quick update for you: this idea is now under consideration.

For the time being, your best bet is to create two separate Automatic accounts (one for you and one for your wife), so that way, you can both have customized audio settings. Keep in mind, however, that if multiple users go on a trip together who all have accounts connected to the same Link, the Link will connect to the first phone it “sees” and the trip will only appear in that person’s timeline. See the "Known Issues" section of this FAQ for more details.

We understand that separate accounts may not be ideal if you're wanting to have a unified trip timeline between you and your wife. We're planning to address this in a future update.

Thank you very much for your consideration and the update. Your team is very responsive, and it is very much appreciated. Thanks again!  :-)

And yes, we do have separate accounts. The issue arises, as you already know, if my iPhone connects to her Link first. Maybe, since both accounts have both cars available, the other option is to "prioritize" the cars in each account. (My car has priority over my wife's car in my account, and her car has priority over mine in her account --- or maybe the other way around --- my link gives my account priority over hers, and her link gives her account priority over mine). I guess there are several ways to configure this.

Thank you once again.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Separate Audio Notifications for two Automatics?.

Can I set the audio notifications differently on two Automatics? In the app, it looks like audio notifications are a general setting. I have two Automatic devices and in one car, I'd like the audio cues to be silent, but my other car I want them noticeable. Is this possible?

Hi there, Steve. I merged your post into a related discussion. Audio alerts are tied to individual Automatic accounts and not specific vehicles, so it's not possible to enable alerts on one vehicle and not the other (while using the same Automatic account).

Thanks for the reply Tom.  I hope this is a feature that will be implemented.  I have the exact same problem as sboydman, I want the cues, my wife doesn't.  Thanks for the info though.
