This began happening to me to me too but only since updating to iOS 10.3. Automatic launches when I start my car overriding any app that is already running.

Official Response
Hi all,

Nick from Engineering. A quick update from my previous posting(s).

This is firmly an Apple buglet - I can't share with you any feedback from them with regards to their diagnosis of the bug or any timeline to resolve it as I hope you understand. However I can say that this is not an Automatic problem - its related to Bluetooth Classic as it integrates into iOS in 10.3.1 and 10.3.2 beta (so far). I've got a theory on the root cause and we're feeding back the results of testing as we go.

News of sorts: we have made a build of the FW that "hacks around this bug". Its not pretty, but its something. I'm asking our awesome customer support team to help move people onto this firmware and help manage this process as we get field feedback. I'd love everyone on this thread to help us test this build.

A longer term fix is being worked on - however, the methods to fix this are as simple as "work hard to find a clever hack, but Apple fix their OS in the end" through to the drastic "move to BLE" which is a huge amount of work as I'm sure you appreciate.

Here's my ask - if you're having issues and are willing to help, please email and ask to move onto the trial firmware. I'd love it if you can quote "AUTOMATIC_CLASSIC_BT_BUG_SUCKS" in your message, but I'd also be happy with "FIX_MY_BT_BUG_NOW" or "NASIR_DERRICK_AMY_WE_LOVE_YOU" (our wonderful CS team).

I'll update as we move through this problem.
