I have a 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. Since buying the Automatic Pro dongle and plugging it into the Jeep - Approximately ever 7-8 days, something odd happens where the device seems to glitch (reporting a drive that never seems to end, or random untrue parking) and when this happens, the car shuts off -WHILE DRIVING. Everything quits, and the dashboard instruments freak out and quickly flash a series of seemingly random error messages. Sometimes the car will restart normally, sometimes I have to remove the dongle from the ODBII port to "clear" the car so it will restart. Without the dongle plugged in, the car functions as normal. This is a reproducible problem, it just takes about a week to happen. Do I have a bad dongle, or is my vehicle not truly compatible. As an additional data point, I also have Automatic Pro dongle in a 2017 Nissan Frontier truck, installed the same day as the Jeep. The truck has exhibited no such behavior.

Hi Terry,

Sorry to hear about the strange experience! Can you email our Tech Support team at help@automatic.com so we can take a look at what's going on? In the meantime, please remove the adapter from the Jeep. Thank you!
