Can the device alert me if my battery voltage is getting low, such as if I left a light on, so I can attend to it before my battery goes dead?

Hi, Kent. The app does not include that at this time but we do provide battery health data in our web-based Dashboard Labs.

Thanks Amy.  If battery voltage level is available at the OBD port of most cars, that seems like valuable info to make available users on a phone device, esp with some sort of alert.  I know it would be for me, and a significant plus in a purchase decision.

Agreed, Kent. I was just letting you know that while this feature is not currently built into the app, we do have a battery health tool on the web. :)

Amy, I just checked the demo lab and there is no data on the current state of the battery.   I think it's pretty obvious the request is about battery charge state and not "health".   Please let us know if this is coming so that we can decide on a purchase.  For myself this is a requirement.  If it cannot report current charge level (essentially voltage output) then it's not for me.   Especially given that it does drain the battery while the vehicle is off.  Thanks.

Hi, Santiago. I'm sorry but I can't make promises about possible future features. Battery health in the app is something we'd very much like to do and have discussed internally. But I have no idea when that might happen nor if it will happen for certain. Everything is a matter of priorities and working with the resources we have. I would not want to set your hopes falsely provided it's the only reason you'd purchase the product.

In lieu of this feature, another way to protect a car battery from going dead is with a device that automatically disconnects the battery when it starts to get too low.  I've had good luck with this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K24IS6M?psc=1
