The Automatic Pro adapter does not make any sounds other than when it is plugged in. I can see that we are already addressing this issue in Customer Care.

Mine started random beeping on Sunday. I thought it was my car’s audio system, but when I unplugged the Automatic it stopped.

Hi Ione,

Are you hearing the beeps from the actual adapter, or are they coming through your phone?

I don’t know where they are coming from. As I said, I thought they were coming through my sound system. It sounded like the beep the radio makes when you set one of the pre-sets. Just one beep. I disconnected the automatic pro and it stopped. Tonight, when I got home from work, I reconnected the device. I will hear what happens tomorrow morning on my drive in.

No beeping on the way to work this morning. I hope it continues.

I guess it’s the old, “ Did you turn it off and on again!”

I read there were instances in which it would emit a beep. When you break too hard for instance or accelerate too hard this is for me a problem as I would like to install it covertly any idea if there is any way to install covertly (for my children's safety while riding with a individual and for proof of where they are when with them) so that when they say they go to xyz....I can prove they are telling the truth. Anyhow. I need it to not show lights or noises ever. And I like the 5 year fee included etc.... a definite pro to buying this.

Hi k.

The Automatic Pro adapter is silent and only beeps when you plug it in. Previous versions of the Automatic adapter did beep for hard braking or fast acceleration, but that isn't the case for Automatic Pro. That said, if the adapter were to become loose and then reconnect it could beep, so we don't guarantee that it will not ever make noise. Also, it emits a Bluetooth signal that is always on, so if your child has Bluetooth turned on for their phone, the adapter will attempt to pair with it, which could also alert them to its existence. For that reason, we do not recommend using the Pro adapter to tracking anyone without their knowledge.
