bluetooth interference between adapter and phone/stereo

When I get in my car, it seems that the automatic and my phone are competing for the Bluetooth. My car will constantly say “Audio Connection Successful”, then a few seconds later “Audio Disconnected”. It says the same thing about my phone. Back and forth back and forth. I have tried turning off Bluetooth and turning it back on. I tried deleting my phone from my car and re-pairing it. I tried deleting the app and re-pairing, nothing works.  I use IOS 11.0.3.  I have unplugged it for now to eliminate the annoyance.  I have no idea what generation of adapter I have but it was just sent out recently.  Most likely the Lite.

Yes, that is correct. They have no ETA on a resolution. So I thought maybe I missed something that someone on this forum could suggest or advise.

So, its been two weeks and no reply as to suggestions or a fix for the issue. I have tried EVERYTHING that i can think of to make this work. There is obviously some issue between the phone and the adapter. The adapter keeps kicking the phone off of BT for some reason.  I thought this was a really great idea and service and wanted this to work.  Unfortunately, I am at a loss and disappointed in the product and CS.  Adapter is going in the trash!

I just connected last nite and same problem..I have the Lite thru Amfam / Automatic and if it can’t get straight in a couple days on my 2017 Rogue, it will wind up like yours as I didn’t sign up to be aggravated!

Hello Mary,

I also have a Lite thru AmFam.  I figured out what you have to do.  Follow the directions explicitly!  Turn OFF all Wifi.  Turn OFF all bluetooth that is already connected to your phone.  I have a Blaze fitbit and never thought about turning it off until it finally dawned on me.  Go through the setup as usual.  I deleted my phone out of my car's infotainment and then once the Automatic was paired, I re-paired my phone.  I hope this helps!
