Bluetooth: L4 Automatic Pro vs FF Automatic Pro - I've seen both of these terms on my phone as available device names for pairing my Automatic Pro adaptor.  What's the difference?

I was recently connected on L4 and OBD Fusion dropped the connection.  It would not reconnect until I switched it to FF.  Later I saw on my phone that both had been paired devices but new scan did not find L4, only FF.

I suppose it wouldn't matter except that apparently they support different PIDs on OBD Fusion.  For example, Fuel Rate had been working on L4 but does not work on FF.

I'll appreciate some education on what these terms represent and how they should be working.

I searched the Forum and neither L4 nor FF popped up.

Hi SLG,

Unfortunately OBD Fusion is no longer supported, but to answer your question, the FF Automatic Pro is your adapter, the "FF" is the beginning of the PIN. You should use that one to connect. For the L4, I am assuming that you're referring to LE, which only shows up when the adapter is connecting, but otherwise isn't used for anything else.

Bingo - the light comes on.  L4 is the beginning of the PIN of my wife's car so apparently, having previously connected to it, my cell remembered it and showed both that it had been paired to, but didn't see it when I rescanned.
And now I suspect the fact Fuel Rate in OBD Fusion has both worked and not worked on and off over the past couple of weeks (since I installed my adaptor) is due to OBD Fusion no longer being supported.
Given OBD Fusion is not supported, what's an equivalent app that is supported?
Lest I forget, thanks for your prompt response.

I kind of read past it without it sinking in but "OBD Fusion is no longer supported" is kind of a big deal.  There are all manner of articles all over the 'net suggesting OBD Fusion is THE instrument app to get with Automatic Pro and NOTHING that I can find on the forum letting customers know this is the case.  When did this happen?  Why no notice?
