Can Automatic Pro log trips without a connected phone?

I would like to be able to review and monitor driving habits of people that borrow my car, without giving them access to information about everything I do with my car.  I could be wrong, but regular Automatic did not seem to have that functionality, as all trips were recorded to all users.

A user without a phone would have their trip recorded, but not terribly reliably.

Automatic Pro, with a cellular connection, would seem to have the capability to monitor routes and upload data without a phone connected.

Can Automatic Pro be used to monitor car usage by someone that does not have the app and an account?

Alternatively, can all users be separated by different accounts?

Hi, Oclemon. Welcome to the community! You're right! Automatic Pro uploads your trip data via its 3G connection, so you don't need to have your phone connect. So hypothetically, Automatic Pro can be used to monitor car usage by someone who is "borrowing your car" and doesn't have an Automatic account.

No, all users can not be separated by different accounts. It is one account per adapter/car. However, other people can sign into that account if they need access to the data in the app. Regardless, of who's driving the car or whether or not they're logged into that Automatic Pro account, the car will capture all trips and they will show up in the associated Automatic Pro account. Also, Crash Alert will work regardless of who's driving the car. I hope this helps! :)
