Can I have two devices on my phone app and have them on different accounts?

My wife and I both have cars and drive each others car from time to time, either with the other or alone. There seem to be so many unacceptable limitations to having both devices on one account, particularly for crash reporting. So how can I most efficiently deal with this situation without sacrificing utility?

Hey Charlie,

Thanks for reaching out.

If there will be multiple users with multiple cars, we highly recommend that each user has their own account. Even if a user has their own account, they can share adapters/cars. Each user will just have to setup their account with that adapter/car so that it works when they drive it.

The main issue is that when two people share an Automatic account with two adapters in two different cars, there can be issues when both are driving the car at the same time. For one, this could cause trip capture, which would happen if both users were driving at the same time and the servers are confused on why this account is logging trip data in two different places at the same time. Also, with Crash Alert, a user cannot add oneself.
