I am surprised to not find a complete set of data on the car when plugged in. I have three cars, purchased three Automatics, and don't see the engine miles and not able to set maintenance checks such as oil changes. Please advice.

Hey Mark,

Thanks for getting in touch.

We apologize if there was any misunderstanding when purchasing your Automatic adapters, but at this time Automatic does not report odometer readings or provide maintenance reminders/alerts. These are planned features of Automatic (more provided in the links to each feature), but at this time they are not implemented into the product.

With Automatic, you will receive the following features:
  • Trip data from completed trips using Automatic. These will also include fuel costs of those trips and a breakdown of events that may have reduced one's fuel efficiency during a trip (these include hard brakes, hard accelerations and driving over 70mph for extended periods of time).
  • Measuring of fuel level and reporting when the tank is close to being empty (only available in some vehicles).
  • Decoding Check Engine Light events and the ability to clear those events.
  • Crash Alert—which is a service for when a car is in a severe accident and will result in a monitoring center reach out to see if everything is OK, if you need any assistance and will contact up to three loved ones regarding the accident.
  • Access to our App Gallery, which includes integrations like IFTTT, real-time driving data and automated expense reporting.
For a complete rundown on what features and functionalities are available via Automatic, please view this set of FAQs.

I hope this helps, Mark. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the response.
Glad to hear it's in the pipeline.
Do you have an estimate on when these features may be released?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

There is no official ETA at this time. It is something we are continuing to work on, and we hope to be a couple of features we look to implement into the next major update of our core application. However, at this point nothing is official, but we are definitely looking at all past features that have been heavily voiced by the community and marked as planned.
