You guys said the automatic process more for the vehicle and not the driver, how about we try and bring back support for this application? I shouldn't have to buy another sensor from them all they require is a working one with realibiliy.

I'm sorry, Noah. I don't understand your request. Can you please clarify?

It's a vehicle customization app that can use any OBD-II device

Ah, I see. We do have an open API and development platform that other developers are welcome to build off of to provide integrations between Automatic & their apps or products. I can't speak to whether or not "Carista" would fall into this category. I've never heard of it.

Carista talks to the car bus via ODB. I have one of their adapters to make coding changes to my Audi vehicle. It does sound like Carista and Automatic would have to work together with the API somewhat. Since Automatic supports DashCommand, etc, it would be similar tethering.

I'm also interested in finding a way for automatic to create customizations to a car.

As a user, Automatic falls to the wayside and becomes ignored as time goes by. It become a more of a hindrance as an app. It would be absolutely amazing if Automatic can let you customize for you use your car. Such as remotely unlocking the doors with the phone or turning the AC or heating on for some cars that allow it.

Thanks for the feedback, Ben. We have safety concerns around our device being used to reprogram a car, which is why we don't have those capabilities.

Ok. If you add AC or heating controls for some cars, I'd be willing to upgrade to Pro for this. It's a huge benefit for when it's -30 or 30 degrees out.
