I love the app an use it mainly for tracking daily commutes. Here are my ideas to expose more useful data:

- (chart) day of the week averages for: time spent driving, miles traveled, mpg

- (chart) all-time trip averages for: time spent driving, miles traveled

- on the trip map, color the path according to average speed (similar to traffic maps). This allows me to identify slow spots in my commute.

- keep track of interesting "achievements" such as: longest timed trip, highest speed, farthest trip

- (epic) heat map of routes in single map view (ie. a large map view showing all trips driven overlayed on one map.) Roads driven more frequently appear "hotter" and roads less traveled appear cooler.

Another thing I forgot, in each trip map, place a marker for time increments, for example, every 5 minutes, drop a pin on the map where it occurred (5min, 10min, 15min, etc). This helps track certain milestones during commutes--identify half way point, helps compare timing of different commute routes, etc. the increment should be configurable.

Thanks much for the suggestions, Justin. Most of these are things we're actually currently talking about and working on!

That's great to hear. If you can point out the ones that are totally new I will update my post to reflect the unique suggestions. Thank you.

I can't get into the details of what's coming but let's just say you're definitely on point with how we're thinking about developing the app.

Although I don't know that the heat map overview is one we'd heard of or thought about before. Cool idea.
