i'm a new user of the device through my insurance co., American Family. Been using it for 6 weeks. The data it shows isn't accurate per the way I drive. It shows avgs in mph range of 18-23. But in the area I live in FL, our minimum speed limits are 30+, I mostly drive in 45mph speed limit areas. I never have a reason to drive below 30 and always drive 3-5 mph over the speed limit. Why is this happening? Do I have a faulty device?

FYI, your average speed calculated by Automatic includes the time that you're stopped at traffic lights and stop signs; after all, the engine is on during those periods as well.

The speed limit on the route I take from work to home is 40 miles/hr, and while moving, I'm mostly between 38-45 miles/hr. But when Automatic includes the time that the engine is on, but the car isn't moving, my average miles/hr for the trip ranges from 18-30.

Here's an average of my daily speeds for the last week of December ....
