NOTE: This FAQ pertains to the 1st & 2nd generation Automatic adapters only.

Automatic reads the velocity data from your vehicle's on-board computer to determine how hard you’re braking or accelerating. To trigger a hard brake or acceleration, Automatic needs to calculate about 0.3 Gs from the velocity data, which is around 8-10 KPH in one second.
