Are engine light error codes saved in a log anywhere? I've had two, but my vehicle cleared them. I didn't note the codes when they were displayed in the app.

I reccomend using IFTTT and Google sheets combo to do this for you so that you don't have to reach back to Automatic for the data in the future.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Check Engine Light Log.

Is there away to see a history of when the check engine light has come on?

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for getting in touch, and welcome to the Automatic Community!

As mentioned in Jonathan's post above, you can email help@automatic.com to receive recent past check engine light codes.

Also, as Nathan mentioned, using an IFTTT formula to keep these logs on your end is extremely helpful. Here is an FAQ on using Automatic and IFTTT:

I hope this helps, Jeff!
