For hybrid vehicles, ignore hard events for the first 15-20 MPH

After quite a few months of using automatic, I'm very sensitive to the hard braking ding. There is no way to know how close you are to 'dinging' during the "hard brake", so in trying to avoid the hard brake, sometimes I find that I have to try a little harder in the last 20 mph or so when approaching a surprise red light.

Is there any way the software could ignore that last/first 15-20 mph for the 'dings'?

I drive a Prius, so the first 10-15 mph is electric with instant torque, so no effect on gas mileage. I get a lot of hard acceleration at below 15mph.

Great idea, Ichamp. I'll pass this feedback along to our product team.

This is a known issue, and it's related to the gas/electric engine combo in hybrids. Here's a link to a related topic if you're interested in reading more.
