Has anyone gotten Automatic and LiftMaster/Chamberlin MyQ Garage door application to work together?

Would love to have devices talk so when I get almost home my garage door opens and when I leave it closes.

MyQ does not support IFTTT directly, which is a major downfall.

I noticed that MyQ does not have an Ifttt channel but I wonder if it will never be. I think most people, especially people living in the cities of the US, would not want their Garage door to open when they are "almost home".   I love Home automation myself however when it comes to my Garage door I like to see my door open when I am in front of it.  I would bet that there are some liability issues to be concerned about when you are MyQ as well.  A phone app with a visual representation of the door opening is different from allowing Automatic to open with no visual representation or any type of notification.

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Automatic Community!

At this time, Automatic doesn't work with any of the smart garage door applications. Most of our IFTTT triggers likely wouldn't work, as they are triggered by ignition on/off. However, there may be a way for one of the companies to build a feature integrated with Automatic.

We recommend reaching out to MyQ and seeing if they'd be interested in developing something that could work with Automatic.
