Would like to know if this unit is large or small?
Can it be easily hidden from being seen/found if someone is not looking for it? (Kid getting license)

If someone is actually looking for it, yes, it can easily be found.  At least in our daughters car.  However, just getting in and out of the car for normal driving it's not noticeable.  We told our daughter we were putting it in her car to keep her honest.  It has worked very well.

They make Y adapters for the OBDII port. Can make it easier to still provide a port for maintenance but tuck away the other end with an Automatic. We used to do this on commercial vehicle with other adapters and it worked well. I suppose you could also pull the port off it’s mount and tuck it up a little higher. I am also in the trust but verify department.

Hi Dave and Patrick,

Splitters are not supported and shouldn't be used with the Automatic Pro adapter because the Pro needs specific information to work properly, and using a different device at the same time could prevent the information from being sent to the Pro adapter. The Automatic Pro adapter is not intended for use in vehicles where the driver is not aware that they are being tracked. Although the adapter is silent, it has an "always on" Bluetooth signal that will try to pair with any smartphone in the vehicle that has Bluetooth enabled. This can alert the driver to the presence of the adapter.
