NOTE: UPDATE 4/2017

For Automatic Lite & Pro: Select "Preferred Fuel Type" from the Settings menu found in the main app menu.

(For selecting your preferred fuel type for manual fill-ups, tap the Health tab → Fill Ups → gear icon in the top right corner → Preferred Fuel Type. You can also change the fuel type per fill-up entry.)

For Gen 1 & 2:
Upon updating to v2.7+ of the iOS app, you will receive a prompt to select which fuel grade you prefer for determining trip costs. If, however, you dismiss the prompt, you can change this setting at a later time by navigating to Settings → Your car’s profile and tapping on the “Fuel Grade” link.

Upon updating v1.7+ of the Android app, you will receive a prompt explaining that the fuel grade feature is now available, but in order to select a preferred fuel grade, you will need to navigate to your car’s profile which is accessible from the Settings screen.

Please note that once you select a preferred fuel grade, costs for trips you’ve already taken will not change.
