I am having these issues currently- ignition on and off triggers are firing ~3 hours late for the past two days...

Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: IFTTT recipes running about 9 hours late.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled IFTTT ignition triggers are delayed.

One of our server engineers looked into this and everything looks to be firing properly on our side. He thinks the lag may be on IFTTT's side so we're hoping to reach out to them to see if they can take a look.

Troy - we're reinvestigating this now. The engineer who'd originally looked into the problem thought it was related to our new IFTTT channel, not the classic channel. Stay tuned! :)

Ted & Craig, can you please let us know if you're using the new Automatic IFTTT channel for our Pro adapter or the classic IFTTT channel for our 2nd gen adapter?

I'm using the classic IFTTT channel for the 2nd gen adapter.

I believe I'm the same as Ted. I don't have a pro, and I'm using the "grey background" recipes. All of my other automatic recipients work immediately, but this one always suffers a lag.

Which other "recipients" are you sending to?

Sorry, I meant recipes - thanks autocorrect! The other recipes are ignition turned off at home, and a bunch more non-Automatic ones. By the way, this has gone back to normal operation for me, so it appears the problem was resolved.

Ok, great, glad to hear it! IFTTT is actually working on porting our IFTTT Classic channel over to their new API. Once that work is done, it should get even zippier and more reliable.

There are some webhooks lags that have been an ongoing thing for a while. We've got a server engineer doing some work to improve these. However, I'm not sure if what you guys are experiencing are due to that or due to something on IFTTT's side.

Troy, I've shared your contact info with our server engineer who was investigating this but he's been out today. I'm curious, though, how things look on your end with the recipe sending?

I am having the same sort of issues when utilizing 2nd gen as trigger for turning lights on when ignition is turned off.

Sorry for the delay in responding to this issue, everyone. Our engineer who was looking into this has been out with a sick child this week. He's back today and will be re-investigating now that we realize you're all talking about the Gen 2 adapter and our "Automatic Classic" IFTTT channel.

I am using automatic 3rd gen Lite version and I created recipe based on the ignition turn on off with my garage door and it never worked. I am using the blue background automatic from ifttt

Hi Arif. Lite doesn't support IFTTT. Here's a FAQ that describes the differences between Lite and the other adapters.

Hello all. I have an exciting update for you. Our Automatic Classic IFTT channel has now been ported over to IFTTT's shiny, new API which should mean you should see an improvement in performance and speed. Additionally, check out our updated IFTTT Classic channel page, you'll notice a couple of new parameters have been added that use geofencing for triggers based on entering and exiting an area!

I just bought the pro last month. Created IFTTT recipe with gogogate2 garage door. Working within 15 sec after I start my car or stop my car in my garage. Only thing is automatic can't distinguish between remote engine start and actual ignition. Any idea how it can resolve.

Arif, the adapter can't distinguish between a remote engine start or manual engine start. It just knows the engine started. Once the engine starts, a trip begins.
