I'm more interested in increasing performance than saving fuel. Will this device allow me to adjust my vehicle's programming to give it faster acceleration similar to what you can do with the EFILive or SCT flash devices?
We do plan on taking advantage of more of the data provided to us by the OBD-II port in the future, but we don't have any current plans to incorporate more tuning features such as what those products offer. Given our focus on fuel economy, it seems a bit contrary to our mission. :)
On the contrary, these tuners also offer a fuel-improving profile, so it could b used to help performance. I have bigger tires and exhaust on my truck. Being able to tune the engine and transmission to improve performance with those options installed is why I would want a tuner app. Yes, they do allow for high performance settings but many of us use tuners to improve gas efficiency.
I don't see why you couldn't have two modes that you could switch back forth. Or better yet, could you not program it so that you get better feel economy until you floor the accelerator, at which point it launches you down the road at warp speed? Just asking.
