Is it common for my Automatic Pro to "Go offline"?

Hello All!

I have recently installed two Automatic Pros in two of my cars.  On a daily basis, both of them "go offline" and the car cannot be tracked in real-time, or in some cases, until the car starts again and drives around.  I understand this is due to the cellular connection, but as it happens two, three times a day on both cars, seems like that's a high percentage of time.  We are not driving our cars in rural areas and have never had issues with our regular cellular phones.

I was wondering if this is "normal", or if by chance, I have defective units?

Thanks

Hi Adam,

Depending on the amount of interference the 3G signal gets in the area you're driving, this can be common unfortunately. Keep in mind that the adapter is under the dashboard so it already runs into more interference than your cellphone does. As long as the adapter is recording the trips and uploading them it means it is working correctly.

I hope this helps!
