Unfortunately, Automatic is only available in the United States right now. The reasons for this are multifold.

Automatic was designed based on the 1996 OBD-II specification that was made mandatory by the Federal Government for all cars sold in the United States. While cars in other countries may also have OBD ports, they were not all manufactured under the same standard which means we can't be sure that Automatic will be compatible with those cars.

Automatic uses many US-only data services like gas station locations and prices, emergency call center locations, road data, and now 3G cellular connection (Pro only). Additionally, you will not currently be able to get through set-up on a car not manufactured to be sold in the United States as the adapter won't recognize your VIN. We will not perform any VIN overrides at this time.

Automatic also only works with most cars sold in the US since 1996*. Different countries have different cars and standards for the port Automatic plugs into. Testing cars for compatibility and building support for them in the adapter is a major task and adding more cars would take a significant effort. So would complying with local laws and business practices, adding support for different languages on our website, in the app, and on our support team, etc. Even if your car has an OBD-II port or a port that appears similar to US cars, we can not guarantee what will happen if you attempt to use Automatic.

UPDATE 9/2016: Automatic Pro will not work at all outside the United States.

UPDATE 7/2017: For those using older versions of Automatic outside the US, due to the mapping provider switch we recently had to make, location information outside the US is no longer available as our new provider doesn't have this data in their database. This means all parked locations will say "Unknown". These sorts of unforeseen changes to the experience are why we made it very clear when you reached out for a VIN bypass that it was unsupported and at your own risk.

Again, using Automatic outside the United States and on a car not manufactured for sale in the United States is at your own risk. We do not ship internationally and will not process any international returns or exchanges.
