What are the differences between 2G and 3G? I literally just bought 2G, should I return it?

So since I'm in Canada, 3G won't work? I'm assuming they won't pay for roaming. Anything else worth noting?

Unfortunately, due to Automatic Pro's reliance on a cellular connection which requires Automatic Labs to be in contract with a cellular service provider, Automatic Pro will not work in Canada and only work in the United States.

Probably keep the 2G then if there is no service in your area. I like the feature because its always updating to the cloud even if someone else is driving.

If 3G doesn't work in Canada for phone service, can you use 3G for everything else? I notice 2G isn't on the website now.

The 2nd Generation Automatic adapter is no longer sold through our website, but it is available through third-party retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.

Vikesh - I may be misunderstanding your question, but the Automatic Pro won't work at all outside the U.S.  It's possible that along the US/Canadian border a car will still be covered by our cellular coverage, but we have not idea how far that reach is. Apparently there are some zones in Canada where roaming will work, but it's not extensive and we don't know what those boundaries are. Outside of that, the product will just not function. Additionally, non-US sold cars will be unable to complete Setup on the Automatic Pro.
