License+ said I was already a student, how do I become a coach?

License+ is designed for the coach to be a separate user than the student, that's why you're getting an error when trying to sign up as a coach. Thankfully, it's pretty easy to go and reset this.

  1. You'll first need to end the program under the email that you used to sign up to License+ with. Just visit the settings in the License+ app on your phone and you should find the "Restart/End License+" link at the bottom. Here's a screenshot:



  2. If your student needs to set up a new Automatic account under their own email address, they can do so in the Automatic app. They will have to sign out if they are logged in already. Alternatively, if they already have a separate Automatic account, they can keep using that one.

  3. After your student is set up with their own Automatic account, they can visit the License+ app and select your contact as their coach. Make sure your email address is in their contact for you or it may not be selectable. You should get an email with an invite link inside. Simply click on that and you'll be taken to the coach dashboard. Just sign in using the Automatic account you originally created and you should be all set!
