NOTE: This FAQ pertains to the 1st & 2nd generation Automatic adapters only.

If you’re missing route maps/location data from your trip timeline, please check the following on your phone:

1. Do you have a Power Saver mode of any kind turned on? If so, please turn it off.
2. Can you open Google Maps and get an accurate location? If not, there may be a hardware issue with your phone.
3. Have you enabled GPS? If not, please enable it.
4. Have you allowed high-accuracy location in Settings Location? If not, please select “high accuracy” from the list of options.
5. Is Airplane Mode turned on? If so, please turn it off!
6. Have you recently installed a "battery saver" app, or any app which might attempt to adjust system settings? If so, this might be impacting the GPS capabilities of your phone, and we recommend that you do not use such apps.

If you have tried the above steps and it does not resolve the issue, please email our tech support team at help@automatic.com for further assistance. Thanks!
