I know with the Automatic pro it has a constant cellular connection... But can that be viewed live to better tell where my car might be if it was stolen or if A friend borrowed it?

Or does this only happen on the start and stopping of the car?

Hi, dswihart. If a friend borrowed it -- and as long as they're not savvy & sneaky and pull the adapter out ;) -- yes, you can track it in real time. The Automatic Pro was not designed or intended to be an anti-theft or stolen car-tracking device. While you can track your vehicle from your app while anyone else is driving it, that only works if the adapter hasn’t been unplugged from the OBD port and is within the cellular network. We don't recommend using Automatic Pro to track a stolen car.

For example, though, if someone else is driving my car, as long as I'm logged into my app and the app hasn't been killed in the background (a thing that happens on iOS for you Android users out there), I'll get a notification any time my car starts driving or when it's parked. While it's being driven, I can track it on a map in real time. It's pretty handy!
