Hi there, it looks like in some cases some trip data is not showing up after the vehicle has been out.

How long does each trip take to populate?

Hi Joe-

If your adapter & phone connected on a given trip, the trip should show up nearly immediately after the trip ends. However, if they didn't connect on a trip, that trip won't appear until after a connected trip is completed. Ah...

TIL the adapter only backs up 8hrs of drive time if the phone isn't nearby.

Correct. Automatic Pro, which uses a cellular connection to our servers, also only has 8 hours of drive time storage on it, however, it doesn't rely on a BT connection with the app to do its job, so as long as it has a cellular connection, trips will be captured in real time regardless of where the phone is. So if that's a common use-case for you, you may want to have a look.

I have latest gen Pro and my trip yesterday, where my phone was in the car isn't showing up. I stopped driving and then the app said it disconnected because my car was off and today the trip never showed up.
