Is it possible to create an adapter that fits and works with motorcycles? Very happy with the features for my car, and kind of miss having that info when I ride my bike.

Mike - unfortunately an adapter would not work as the communications protocols are different, in many instances.  At this time I don't believe there is a common protocol but I do believe newer bikes will be required to move to CAN based communications (I believe all Harley bikes, 2016 and beyond will be moving to all CAN protocols).   You will likely start to see more and more Automatic style devices available - and in that case, hopefully Automatic will consider it.

Given the number of bikes on the road today, you may want to put this into the IDEA section of this Community.  It is a great opportunity and an even better idea.

Hope this helps.

RPS is correct, Mike. (Thanks again, RPS!!) We actually have several employees who ride motorcycles and they'd love this but it's just not in the cards for us to even investigate right now. There is already this Idea here in the community that is related. However, as you can see it's marked as "unplanned" for now.

There's also this other Question topic about motorcycle support that you can check out if you like.

Glad to hear you're enjoying Automatic with your car, though!

I'd love motorcycle-support! Detailed engine-information would not be required for me, but all the other features (like ride-logging, parking-location and the app-store) will still be very interesting.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Automatic for Motorcycles?.

My Triumph motorcycle has an OBD-II sensor that works with my cable and diagnostics software. It seems like Automatic could be made to work with motorcycles that have OBD-II ports. How about it!?
