In my new car we know that the automatic tends to disable the manufacturer health reports.  I have come to accept that.  But I fear that more and more, certain features will be unavailable if I leave my automatic installed all the time.  Manufacturers are a pain in the rear.  My health report will not update that the MIL is off.  Even when removing the automatic for a few days.  Plus I have some older cars that I would love to track seamlessly with my others in automatic.  I think a simple tracking device that only requires power but the same great price and tracking features would be awesome.  I would go from my 3 family cars to 6 including classic cars and motorcycles.  I see others doing it, I would love automatic to have one.
and how come my password for the app doesn't work here on the forums??

Hi Patrick,

Thank you for the suggestions, and I understand the frustration with health reports being disabled. Unfortunately we don't have plans to add that type of device, we are actually going to be adding new features instead of creating a new adapter that only provides tracking. That means that the adapter will continue to need to use the OBD port. The Automatic Community is hosted by a 3rd party called Get Satisfaction, so the Community and Automatic app don't share credentials.
