Notification when Automatic Pro is reconnected

I am looking for some kind of notification that the Automatic Pro has been disconnected. Since it is powered by the OBD II, it would make sense to post a notification in the log that it was reconnected. If I am watching the app, I can see when the sensor is offline, but I can not find a log of this activity. Is this currently available? If not, will it be a feature available in a new release of the software?

Hi Paul. I'm checking in with the product team about your questions.

To clarify, Paul, do you mean that you're looking for a notification that the adapter has been unplugged from the port? Currently, if it's unplugged while the engine is on (a thing we recommend against ever doing), you'll get an "adapter offline" notification in the app. However, if it's unplugged after the car is parked, it will just show that the car is parked all that time until it's plugged back in and the engine is turned on. Once it's plugged back in, there is some debug data that we get that indicates a "hard reset" which generally means it had been unplugged and replugged. We're investigating doing more with features but I'm not sure what the timeline would be for them nor if they're a sure thing.

There is currently no log of historical "offline" activity / notifications and no plan for one. Can you explain your use-case / need for this?

Personally, it would seem helpful to know that the device was removed and replaced. If your system knows that the hard reset has happened, it should be logged. Parents want to know when the device is manipulated.

My reason is much like Robert.  If the device is removed and replaced, I want to know.  I know that I can tell when it has been disconnected if I am watching my app, but I don't always watch it.  For example, the middle of the night.

This is sounding like a feature request! :) Please feel free to add this functionality as a new "Idea" topic with an explanation of the use-case.
