You know what would be nice? If the "Pro" adaptor had all the functionality of the previous adaptor and app. The Pro app doesn't display half the information the non-pro app does, and the old adaptor gave audible cues when I was affecting my driving score. The "Pro" adaptor is a major step backwards in my opinion.

Hi Alton,

Thanks for the feedback! The Automatic Pro adapter doesn't have all of the features of previous adapters, but the 3G connection allows us to create new features that weren't previously possible.

Thanks Derrick.  I'm still a fan of Automatic, I'm just really bummed to lose the previous adapter functionality.  Also, the older iOS app hasn't been updated in over a year and is extremely slow and unresponsive.  So, I can really switch back if I wanted to.

I'm a new AutomaticPro owner.  From reading these threads about requesting new functionality and how simplistic it would be to implement vs "other priorities", it sounds like they may have very few or a single software developer(s) working on the application.    The problem appears to be that they have way too few resources allocated to supporting this product.  Perhaps one of the community members will implement a simple app using the published API to provide additional functionality and share it with us.

Like many others I had hope and I have been sorely disappointed with the lack of any significant new features to make the Pro better. Yes, there is 3g connectivity, but at the cost of relevance, data, response and effectiveness!  If like me, you started with the Lite adapter and upgraded to the Pro for the disconnected data acquisition when vehicle is used by someone without being paired to the vehicle. You are going to be frustrated by the experience.

Sadly, after a year I actually went back to using the lite adapter for my primary vehicle because it simply provided more applicable and useful data.  I still have a couple of pro adapters for my wife and sons cars but even the driving reports are limited in usefulness. I only check it when they report a problem.

I really hope that moving forward there will be an investment in the app and service.
