Rank the drivers? Is it possible to rank the drivers amongst its peers by car? Or by state? Or by some shape or form? Almost say "John Doe" has used automatic for 3 months and hasn't gotten below 100!
I'm a semi competing person and the idea is to gain knowledge of how to operate at a better way. What better way then to compare myself to someone in Detroit??? Great product by the way!

Hi James,

Thanks for writing in! Comparing users with each other is a great idea, and we are definitely doing some research with the data and are looking at ways to implement this in future releases of Automatic. I have posted a section of our blog on what one of our engineers have done. We hope to create more content like this, both web-based and for the app. If you have questions, please post them here along with any more ideas.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Battle for high efficiency driving :).

Ok, i'm a nerd. I want something like the global standings page blizzard has on battle.net. It could bring about a more competitive aspect to high efficiency driving.

For those who don't know, blizzard makes starcraft, warcraft, and etc. Battle.net ranks the best players. You may even be able to find your own ranking if you've played enough ladder games. Something like that. I haven't played those games in years. It is the general concept. It doesn't have to be exactly like battle.net.

Taken further, the idea can be used to connect people to the best drivers (in terms of high efficiency). Or simply to know where you stand among your category of vehicle.

Great idea John, thanks for sharing. This would definitely add a bit of friendly competition to the Automatic experience :) We're still researching a score ranking/competition feature, and once we have any new developments, we'll be sure to update this topic.

Hi Automatic, I'd be interested in having competitions with other automatic users that are my friends, family, and co-workers. I'd like to friend other users and start competitions that compares our drive scores for the day, week, month, or year. If it were setup similar to Fitbit's step competitions, then this would be a fun way for the automatic community to engage with each other. Also it would encourage me to buy automatic for other members of my family so we can start competing for bragging rights on who is the best driver.

Thanks Joe! We really appreciate you contributing through various aspects of the community over the past few days! Passionate Automatic users like yourself help us to continue to shape the future of the product.

It is also great to see that some older posts are still relevant interests to our users.

A little friendly competition is always good, and we will continue to explore ways of implementing such an aspect into the product when it seems like a fit.

Thanks again!
