As it is possible to monitor one device by multiple accounts, it is a security and privacy risk. Anyone that have access to my car can simply add my device to his account and monitor my every move. This can be the mechanic or one of his workers, a valet parking guy, or really anyone. So my questions are:
1.how to make sure that this was not done already?
2. In the future will there be a way to notify the original user of the device that another account is accessing it?
3. In the future I believe there must be a confirmation from the original account before the device can be accessed, will you work on this please?

You can only use it on one account at a time, so if someone did make a new account yours would stop working. They can't get on yours with out your sign on info

This is not what I found on other answers on the form. We need confirmation on that from Automatic team.

Hi Waleed,

The Automatic Pro adapter is car-centric, which means that any single vehicle can only be installed on a single Automatic account. If someone were to try to install your vehicle on a different Automatic account, they wouldn't be able to get through Setup. The only way for someone to monitor your vehicle is if they have your account information.

I hope this helps!

Thanks Derrick, another question. What if someone replaced my Automatic pro with another Automatic pro and added my car on it, will it add?

No, since your vehicle is already installed on your Automatic account, it can't be installed on a different account. A new adapter doesn't change that.

So what would happen if i sell my car and don't take it out of my account, or buy a car that is on another account?

If you sell your vehicle, you should contact us to have it removed from your account. If you don't, and someone tries to install the adapter, they won't be able to. They will then contact us and then we will contact you to confirm that you sold the vehicle and then we will remove it from your account. Same thing if you purchase a vehicle that someone has installed on their account, you would contact us, and we would contact them to confirm the sale.
