Setup: The adapter does not beep and the app can't find the adapter in setup

Even in different cars, the adapter doesn't beep and the app can't find it. I've tried restarting Bluetooth, restarting the phone, deleting the app and re-downloading it. What next?

Please make sure to push the adapter all the way into your vehicle's OBD port. Due to the design of the adapter, it can sometimes seem plugged all the way, although that may not be the case.

If you've tried this in more than one car and had the same problem, it's possible that your adapterĀ is defective and needs to be exchanged for a new one. Please contact Customer Care by emailingĀ support@automatic.com so we can ask some questions and determine if this is the case.
