I have the Torque app installed in the head unit of my car radio, which runs Android 5.1.1. I have one Gen1 and two Gen2 Automatic devices. Are there any plans to have this app supported by Automatic? If so, I'll replace the Gen1 device with a new Automatic Pro.

Hi David. No, there are no plans at the moment to integrate with Torque for any of our adapters. The only data streaming performance app Pro is officially integrated with is OBD Fusion.

Please keep in mind that while Pro does provide live tracking of your car through the cellular connection, it does not have the real-time data gauges and such that you're accustomed to with Torque.

Amy - thanks. Is the Pro unit an ELM327-compliant OBD-II device? If it is then I'll buy the Pro and load OBD Fusion on the radio head unit (Android 5.1.1).  That might work.

Hi David - We're built on the idea of ELM327 but we're not really ELM327 compliant. I'm told that it might work to use your head unit with OBD Fusion but doing so with our OBD Fusion integration it's untested so we can't say for certain how that will work out.

Well, let's find out. Just ordered a Pro unit to test this.
