Hey steelbee,

Thanks for reaching out.

At this time, Automatic does not support international units, so everything will still be mpg/h. We hope to have more international support in the next major update of our app (these updates are considered more minor/clean up).

Hi Jeff, a thought on converting mpg to metric.  I realize that you may have significant work to do to get all of the international vehicles in your databases, etc before releasing a beta International version ,but perhaps you can provide some features like mpg to metric and use of gasbuddy for places like Canada as incremental steps while we wait for the full international beta.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for passing along the idea. I will pass it along to our team.

However, the lack of metric support is two-fold. For one, we currently do not support the use of Automatic outside of the U.S. For that reason, the product isn't meant to work for users outside of these regions. It isn't that we don't want it to, but the product goes further than the app and we want to make sure the adapter and its firmware are capable of supporting the vehicles outside of the current supported region.

The other reason is that it isn't very easy (not saying it can't be done, but it takes resources that are currently focused on developing the product elsewhere) to integrate and develop new features, especially ones that would feel like quick fixes. We are currently working on the next version of the Automatic application, and features like the metric system will be included then.

Hope this helps, Bruce! Thanks again.
