● See the parking map in normal or satellite view
● Get walking directions to your car from anywhere
● Better visualization of the parking location accuracy

You may not notice all the improvements at first, so tap to expand the parking map and see what’s new. First, the bottom bar adds familiar mapping features like a button to center the map and orient it to your compass heading, to switch between normal and satellite map views, and to get walking directions in either Apple or Google maps.

Next, if your phone’s GPS fix isn’t exact – which happens from time to time – you’ll see an accuracy bubble around the point to let you know where to find your car.

Last, popping out of the car’s location pin you’ll see the address and a button to share that location with anyone you like, via text message, email, or even a Facebook post. We can’t wait to see how you use that last one!

That tripped me up as well, and I gave this feedback elsewhere.

I think it's intended as a slide-switch. In the screenshot above, the slider is 'over' Normal. It took me a bit to figure out what the UI was trying to tell me as well, so it's maybe not the most successful UI element.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll share it with the design team.
Great update. I love it. Keep up the good work guys. I like the tagging of where your home, work and School is located.

How about parking indoors (in shopping malls etc.)?
You should be able to use BT 4.0 to do this.
I constantly cannot find my car!

This is a great conversation that's separate from the main topic, so I created a new topic to continue the discussion. Please reference the new topic here: Use Bluetooth to help locate the car indoors

Hi Bob. Do you mean you don't see the parking features such as satellite view and walking directions or did you mean something else?

Hi Bob. These features are still under development for the Android app. Sorry about that!

So as a parent sitting at home, can I see where my teenager has parked the car. Or must the phone be close to the unit? If I can find it that way what stops others from finding the car that way?

Hi Paul. It is possible to view your car's parking location from a distance, but in order for this to work, both you and your child would need to setup the Link through the Automatic app and run it while driving (on your respective phones). You can read more on multiple drivers here: https://community.automatic.com/autom...

If desired, you can also share an account with your child: https://community.automatic.com/autom...

Only those who have gone through setup will be able to access the car's parking location.

And if I can find a parked car from home, can I in effect track a moving car the same way?

Tracking a moving car is not a feature at the moment, but creating a teen driving product is in our product roadmap :)
