Hi Kelly. It has a one-year manufacturer warranty. You can read more about our warranty and the terms of service here: https://www.automatic.com/legal/#warranty

Here's a FAQ about our general return policy

What happens if you decide to upgrade the device? Does your company have an upgrade path or is that something you're considering?

Hi Kelly. We've released four products at this point and we will certainly release more in the future. Sometimes we offer a discount on the new product to existing users but we can't always do that depending on the economics of the new product.

New products are a reality of the hardware tech world as we have to keep up with changing technologies as well as improving our offerings based on learnings over time. However, even though we've released four products, to date so far, we have not officially fully sunsetted any previous products. Over time their functionality does tend to degrade, though, as the phones they have to work with continue to evolve. Because of this, we did have to cease tech support troubleshooting for our first generation adapter that was released in the summer of 2013, but that was not done until November 2016.

That makes sense. So at your current development rate, what is the average timeframe between new product releases? Also, when was the AUT-350C released?

I can't speak to any future product timelines. The Automatic Pro was released in August 2016.

Okay, let me rephrase my question. When were your last four products released?

1st Gen - Summer 2013
2nd Gen - May 2015
Pro - August 2016

Pro & Lite are sold side by side on our site, whereas we stopped selling Gen 1 when we released Gen 2 and we stopped selling Gen 2 when we released Pro.
