What are the different triggers I can use with Automatic and IFTTT?

Once you have connected your Automatic account to IFTTT, you will be able to use the various preset Automatic triggers to create an action with another IFTTT connected product.

To create a recipe, you will need to go to this page (make sure you are signed in). Once there, you will see the following:



Select This and search for Automatic in the field below. You should see the following trigger options:



All of these triggers will require turning your car on/off to start/complete a trip with the exception being the Check engine light turned on/off triggers, which will log all occurrences as they happen during the trip.

Once you select an Automatic trigger, you will be able to choose the product you’d like to have it interact with. A few features you can use include SMS, Google Docs and Slack to just name a few. For examples of other Automatic/IFTTT recipes already created, check out this page.
