I'm curious why you feel you need to disconnect Automatic to reconnect Bluetooth? And what do you mean by "disconnect" Automatic? Do you mean unplug it or just "forget device" in your Bluetooth settings? I'm still confused about what exactly you're asking, however, if you unplug Automatic or disconnect the Bluetooth connection before it's had a chance to send the data to your account, it will be stored on the adapter. Similarly, if you drive around with the Adapter plugged in and working, but not connected to your phone, it will store up to 8 hours of driving data. Please see this FAQ and this FAQ
