Automatic Lite uses the same app as the Automatic Pro, but does not include a 3G connection and does not include real time event based features such as Crash Alert, parking location tracking, or live vehicle tracking. It also does not connect to event-based third party apps like IFTTT, Nest or streaming apps like OBDFusion. See chart below.

The difference between Automatic Lite and the 1st and 2nd generation adapters is that it uses the new app while the gen 1 & 2 adapters use the Classic app. Also, as stated above, it does not include some of the features of those adapters such as Crash Alert and parking location tracking. And like Pro, it does not include Fuel Level features, custom location labels, Brief Stops, Drive Score, and hard event alerts (aka “Efficiency Coaching”).

It relies on a Bluetooth connection to our app installed on your compatible smartphone.
